10 years overall IT experience with at least 5 years’ experience in a production System Administration role. Required skills and working knowledge in these technologies:
Required: Linux - (CentOS/RHEL) administrator concepts and principles
Required: VMWare VM creation, configuration, and operation experience
Required: Security + 2 / IAT 2 certification
- Storage
- Management (ex LG, PV, LVM
- Protocols (ex NFS, SAMBA, ISCSI)
- SAN Storage configuration
- Understanding of network storage (ex. NAS and SAN)
- Networking
- Understanding of networking concepts and principles
- Routing, IPSec
- Security Compliance
- YUM Patching
- IAVA Remediation
- Server certificate management
- Automation (ex. Ansible, Puppet, SALT)
- SELinux
- Authentication
- Users and Group Management
- Understanding of Active Directory and DNS
- User certificate management
- Scripting: Shell, Python preferred
- Physical Server Administration
Other Desired Skills, Education, or familiarization
- Oracle Database and possibly some DBA experience

Work Location: National Business Park, Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
Duty Hours: Monday - Friday 0800 - 1700 (Flexible). Note: Project requires scheduled OCB's on Saturday evenings on an as needed basis. Some after-hours call-in support may be needed, but no weekly rotations call-in.
- Minimum General Experience: Combination of ten (10) years systems, network, or storage administration experience on any one specific vendor¿s or a combination of vendors technology. May include knowledge of or specialization with any of the following: Solaris/Trusted Solaris/Linux/ or other Unix or Windows operating system; Storage technology including Disc/Tape/SAN/NAS/DAS.
- Functional Responsibility: Provides advanced system administration and support of workstations, file servers, printers, storage or network infrastructure. Troubleshoots difficult technical problems; creates, maintains and modifies processes/policies/procedures, resolves day to day issues for the user community. In addition, provides advanced skills and process transfer to the customer and establishes process and procedures for improving customer IT or MIS operations. Can work without supervision and may periodically serve as a Technical Lead.
- Minimum Education: A BS degree in computer science or a related discipline or equivalent experience and relevant vendor training on specific technologies and equivalent years of experience.
