Database Engineer (PostgreSQL)

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT – US Citizenship required

Required Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of DBA experience
  • Database Modelling
  • Database Integrity
  • Database Auditing
  • Database Security
  • ETL Processing techniques and strategies
• 3-4 years of PostgreSQL Database administration experience:
  • Install, upgrade, & patching
  • Backup & Recovery
  • Configuration Management
  • Tuning & Troubleshooting
• 3-4 years of Linux based System Administration experience
  • OS Scripting
  • OS Security Patching
• 8-10 years of Customer Service
  • Requirements interpretation and breakdown to translate customer needs into system development objectives and tasks
  • Proven ability to provide excellent customer support/service.
• 3-4 years of Virtualization experience
  • Containerization and CI/CD with Docker, Jekins, and Gitlab
• 1 year of ElasticSearch experience
• Must be an independent worker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Java/JavaScript

• Eight (8) years of business or related IT experience is required. Bachelor's degree in a business or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Two (2) years of additional business or related IT experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
